As with most web sites, this one comes with a few T&Cs, however the main purpose of this page is to make up for the lack of content elsewhere on the site!

The inevitable small print

This web site (www.paulhefford.com, "the site") was created by Paul Hefford (me). The site is my personal property, is non-commercial and is not linked to any organisation or 3rd party. The terms of the site's licensing are stated in the licensing section below.

No responsibility can be accepted for any damage to, or theft of, property, or loss of life whilst browsing the site. Your home is at risk if you do not keep up repayments on a mortgage or other loan secured on it. Written quotations available on request. No purchase necessary. See back of pack for details. Privacy policy

No personal information is collected from the visitors to the site, except information supplied voluntarily via the contact page. This information will not be forwarded to anyone or published anywhere.

The web server the site runs on logs what you access on the site, when you access it and from which IP address (as do most web servers). This information is only used to produce site usage statistics, monitor bandwidth and to correct errors. It is not used to trace or personally identify visitors in any way.

This privacy policy only covers the site, I am not responsible for any external 3rd party content. If the site's domain name (www.paulhefford.com) is not shown in your browser's address bar then it is likely you are not browsing the original site. It is recommended to type the site's address into your browser directly to eliminate uncertainty.

Cookies

The site uses a cookie to persist the chosen style of the site. The site will still be usable if cookies are blocked, but the ability to persist a site style choice will obviously be lost.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, all site material is licensed under a Creative Commons license. All non-original logos, pictures and other site material remain the property of their respective owner and are covered by the original licenses. Non-original material is used solely to represent the associated company or product and not imitate or profit from them in any way. Receiving email from this domain?

Only the domain paulhefford.com (not including subdomains) is used to send email, however all the domains I own publish SPF, DKIM and DMARC records in DNS so the source of email can be verified. Any email which appears to be sent from the domain paulhefford.com is expected to pass both SPF and DKIM tests as per the DMARC policy. If either of these tests does not pass, the email should be rejected as it did not originate from an authorised source.

Many email systems as well as large email providers such as Google, Yahoo! and Microsoft incorporate the checks mentioned above into their spam detection rules, so no explicit recipient action is normally required. Unfortunately, because the sender address of an email can easily be forged, I cannot prevent unauthorised emails from being sent. By publishing the aforementioned email validation information, recipients are able to quickly and unobtrusively validate email which is apparently sent from my domains.
